A Unique Educational Experience

Since first opening its doors in 1842, the hallmarks of a Villanova education have remained constant. A commitment to the liberal arts, a strong teaching orientation, and a dedication to the full development of the mind, heart, and spirit all help to shape a unique and challenging academic experience — ultimately allowing each young person to define a set of personal goals reflective of their values, capabilities, and interests.

Villanova thrives as a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends united in a pursuit of excellence. Committed to promoting the spirit of St. Augustine in all of its endeavors — from the pursuit of discovery and knowledge in the classroom to the development of a greater respect and understanding for individuals and society — the University is helping students reach their full potential preparing them for meaningful lives and fulfilling careers.
