Additional resources include a full range of computer facilities for data reduction and analysis, a weather station, image processing facilities, the Father Jenkins Astrophysical Library and numerous portable telescopes.

On-site telescope instrumentation includes a CCD computer imaging system, spectrographs and photo-electric photometers.

Students receive hands-on training with this equipment and are actively involved in the collection and interpretation of research data using these tools. Student publications co-authored with faculty number at more than 250.

Off-Site/Remote Facilities and Equipment

As part of the 4 College Consortium and the RCT Consortium, we have access to a 30" Automatic Photoelectric Telescope (APT or robotic telescope) in Patagonia, Arizona, and a 50" Robotically Controlled Telescope (RCT) located on Kitt Peak, Arizona.
