Notes:

Up to two Grad courses can be count for both the BS and MS degrees (“double-count”). In addition to BIO 8920, typically take either two 4 cr courses or one 4 cr and one 3 cr course and count BIO 8910. See page 3 on Program of Study form.

All options indicated as “Adv. Biology/Grad Biology” indicate that student can either take an advanced Undergraduate Biology course or a graduate Biology course. These are in addition to the 9 double count courses and those needed for the MS degree, and thus will count primarily for the BS degree.

To avoid tuition fees in 5th year, take at least 5 Bio lab courses and at least 17 grad course credits before the end of Senior Year in addition to the 4 grad research credits.

Plan to begin research in the lab of your chosen mentor no later than the beginning of your Junior year.
