The Professional Development Seminar is the major seminar series in the Chemistry Department. Speakers are invited who apply chemistry to both traditional and nontraditional careers. In addition, Villanova administrators and support staff are also invited to inform students and faculty about support services available related to their future careers as chemists.

The Anthony J. and Heand Johns Silvestri Lecture in Chemistry is an endowed lectureship allowing the Chemistry Department to invite renowned speakers in Chemistry to our Department. Past speakers have included Dr. Joseph DeSimone, Dr. Arthur Ellis, Dr. Esther Takeuchi, and Dr. Christopher Walshand Dr. Ronald Magolda.
