Kolmer, John Albert, physician; born in Lonaconing, Allegheny County,
Maryland on April 24, 1886 to Leonard and Selma Louisa (Reichelt) Kolmer;
graduated from Charlotte Hall Military Academy in 1904; M.D. University of
Pennsylvania, 1908, Dr.P.H., 1914; M.Sc., Villanova College, 1915, D.Sc., 1921,
LL.D., 1927; D.Sc. LaSalle College, 1935; L.H.D., St. Joseph's College, 1935;
married B.Cecilia Herron, Sept 18, 1912. Professor of medicine, Temple
University School of Medicine and School of Dentistry; Director of the Institute
of Public Health and Preventive Medicine; consulting pathologist at St.
Vincent's and Misericordia hospitals. Fellow A.M.A., College Physicians of
Philadelphia, American College of Physicians; member of the American Association
of Immunologists (President), American Society of Clinical Pathologists
(President), Alpha Kappa, Sigma Xi, etc. Catholic. Author of: Infection,
Immunity, and Biologic Therapy, 1915; Manual of Laboratory Diagnostic Methods,
