In order to be considered for a Presidential Scholarship, students must have submitted the Villanova Supplement to the Common Application and must be nominated by one of the following: the chief academic officer of their high school (principal, president, headmaster), an official school designee, or a representative from a home school entity or non-profit educational organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged high school students with the college search process. We recommend that each school nominate no more than four students. If you do not use our preferred method (online nomination), you are limited to four nominations per school. The Nomination Form must be received by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships by December 1, 2009. The student’s Villanova University Admissions Application materials must also be received in the Office of University Admission by December 1, 2009 for Presidential Scholarship consideration. This includes the Common Application with essay, the Villanova Supplement to the Common Application with essay, official high school transcript, Common Application Secondary School Report Form and standardized test scores.

*  If you need assistance filling out the Villanova Supplement to the Common Application or the Common Application, please contact the Admissions Office.

Once the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships has received the Nomination Form, the student will be notified via email and will be granted access to the online Presidential Scholarship application materials. This email will come from presidentialscholarship@villanova.edu. Please make sure that all email accounts are set up to receive messages from this email address. This email will direct them to the myNova Prospective Student Portal and give them instructions for accessing the Presidential Scholarship Application. In addition, the nominator will receive an email confirming that the nomination has been received and processed.

Students will not have access to the Presidential Scholarship Application until they have submitted the Villanova Supplement to the Common Application, received the email notification, and joined the myNOVA Prospective Student Portal.
