Honors Program
The Honors Program is designed to bring together
superior students and dedicated faculty in a small college environment of
rigorous seminars, flexible requirements, and independent research in order to
promote breadth, diversity, and depth throughout the students= academic careers.
The Program is open to students in all undergraduate colleges with the approval
of the Honors Director.
The University Honors Program offers a four-year comprehensive major leading
to the degree of either Bachelor of Arts, Honors(B.A.H.), Bachelor of Science,
Honors (B.S.H.), or Bachelor of Science, Business Honors (B.S.B.H.). To qualify for an Honors Program degree, the student must:
- be a
full-time participant in the Honors Program
- complete a specified sequence
of courses
- maintain a 3.33 QPA with periodic evaluation and approval
by the Honors teaching staff
For students whose course of studies prevents them
from pursuing an Honors Program degree, an Honors sequence in Liberal Studies is
available, which requires a minimum of 8 Honors courses, a 3.33 QPA, and
periodic evaluation and approval by the Honors teaching staff.
Program details can be found in the Honors Program section of the Undergraduate Catalog and are available in the Honors Program Office, 103 St. Augustine Center for the Liberal Arts. The telephone number is 610.519.4650. Dr. Edwin Goff is the director of the Honors Program. Please visit the
