Within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, professional development is
internships, international studies, career exploration, and interaction with faculty
and alumni. Professional Development is a life long journey much the same as learning.
We seek to address the need for consciousness and awareness of self before grappling
with the intellectual and practical decisions needed in selecting a major and a
vocation. As our students’ personal development grows so too will their intellect.
Advisors will lead discussions about how students make meaning in their lives and
how that will lead them to make sound vocational decisions.
Fall 2009 Professional Development Workshops
These workshops will enhance your professional development as you select your
academic major and chart your professional direction. Some of these workshops
may be offered in Spring 2010.
Spring 2009 Alumni Events
During the Spring 2009 four distinguished alumnae were on campus to discuss the Value of their Liberal Arts and
Sciences education with our students. To help bring that concept to life, they share their
personal and professional journey and how their degree from Villanova affected
