An internship can be an invaluable look at your future. Many times students have a broad idea of the field in which they hope to develop their professional career. However, within each field there are many opportunities.

For instance, chemists can do research and development for oil, chemical, medical, environmental, or cosmetic companies. They can have a career in forensics, teaching, pharmaceutical sales, hospital administration and more. A chemist can work for the government, private or non-profit industry or own his/her own firm.

The possibilities are endless! Every career has an endless possibility of opportunities. That’s where internships come in to play. The Liberal Arts and Sciences Internship Office gives students the chance to experience the working environment as a participant. Internships may be for credit, full or part time, and geographically diverse.
