CIMScan

What is CIMScan?

CIMScan is a Facilities Monitoring System. "eLink Controllers" and "I/O Pods" are connected to various equipment (freezers, etc.) recording conditions (temperature, voltage, etc.) to be monitored and reporting via the Ethernet LAN to a Host Server. Data can be logged and devices that fall out of a pre-determined range can communicate an alarm (in the form of an email or phone call) to the pre-defined owner of the equipment. Faculty and Staff will use the CIMScan Client to connect to the Host server and change the settings (alarm range or contact method).

Accessing CIMScan

The CIMScan Client is accessed through Villanova University's Citrix Server. Citrix can also be accessed off-campus. You will login to Citrix with your Villanova LDAP (same you use for webmail) username & password.

NOTE: If you are accessing CIMScan from home and/or on a non-Villanova computer, you may need to install a small plug-in. There will be a notification in the webpage in the "Message Center".
