Introduction

A Tablet PC is a “convertible laptop” with the capabilities of being written on through the use of a digital pen and touch screen technology. This technology has the possibility of being integrated into the learning experience and the purpose of the pilot is to collect feedback on evaluating the value of this product as a teaching aid to our faculty.

We are currently piloting (10) Toshiba Portege M400 Tablet PCs with College faculty for one year. Faculty wishing to participate should contact Chris Driscoll (email below) or at (610) 519-5823.

Data will be collected through a series of online surveys and roundtable discussions and a report will be produced to determine whether the Tablet has a place as an option in the next faculty rollout for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
