In fall 2005, the Rev. Kail
C. Ellis, O.S.A., Ph.D., dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
charged a committee to examine the status of women in the college. Specifically,
the committee was to review and evaluate current policies at Villanova
University with respect to the advancement of female faculty, gender equity, and
related issues. The committee also was asked to review and evaluate current
policies at other colleges and universities with respect to these issues.
The documents here reflect the work of that committee.
