Beginning Fall 2008, Junior Communication Majors will receive Apple MacBook's as their VU-issued student computer.

Software Application Information

Mac Office 2008 comes pre-loaded

The following applications require a few steps to install:

iLife '08 (iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, iDVD & Garage Band)
iLife '08 is not preloaded on the MacBook, but can be loaded from the Apple installation DVDs which came with your MacBook.

Final Cut Express
Final Cut Express is not pre-loaded on the MacBook. The installation disk can be picked up at the Communication Department Office in SAC 203.

QuickTime Pro
Quicktime Pro is pre-loaded on the MacBook, however needs to be registered. Click here to access the registration key and instructions. (Login with your VU username and password when prompted)

Editing your Villanova Homepage with KompoZer

Students can edit their personal VU websites using the free web-authorizing tool KompoZer. KompoZer can be downloaded from http://www.kompozer.net
