The Comprehensive Science Program encourages students to pursue a broad education in science, equipping them with analytical, interpretive and explanatory skills which will enrich their understanding of the world and enable them to become responsible scientists and decision-makers.

The nature of the program encourages students to develop an interdisciplinary course of study that transcends normal departmental boundaries. It also urges the science faculty to create courses which are truly interdisciplinary in nature.

The program provides an excellent entry point to the professions of medicine, law and business and also prepares students for continued graduate study in the sciences.
