Villanova now offers two tracks in the graduate teacher education program with core courses and ample electives that can be tailored to individual professional development needs. The first track, designed primarily for the practicing professional in elementary and secondary school teaching, requires thirty graduate credits and leads to a Master of Arts in education. The second track is for those seeking a Master of Arts in education and initial teaching certification.
Villanova University also offers programs leading to master's degrees in
School or Community Counseling and in Education, with a concentration in
Educational Leadership (K-12). Beyond the master's degrees, students may also
obtain certification in elementary or secondary principalship.
