Education Minor

A minor in Education requires at least 15 credits. Required courses for the minor are:

  • EDU 2202 Social Foundations of Education II
  • EDU 3251 Psychology of Teaching and Learning
  • EDU 3263 Diversity and Inclusion and
  • EDU 4290 Philosophy of Education

An additional 3 credits may be elected from:

  • EDU 2201 Social Foundations of Education I
  • EDU 2300 Research Seminar in Education
  • EDU 3254 Principles of Techniques and Instruction (4 cr)
  • EDU 3258 Education and Society in 1960’s
  • EDU 3260 Education and Society in World War II
  • EDU 3262 Education Pearl Harbor to Sputnik
  • EDU 3265 Global Racism in the Schools
  • EDU 4301 Humanistic Education

Students seeking Elementary Certification through Rosemont College cannot minor in Education. The minor in Education does not qualify one for a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate.
