What is OHS?  The purpose of OHS, Organization of Human Services, is to experience and gain knowledge of different areas within the Human Service field.  In doing so, you will have fun and learn a lot about yourself as you reach out to the Villanova Community and beyond!  

• OHS is tailored to meet the interests of Human Service, Sociology, and Psychology majors and minors.  However, we welcome all who are interested in the Human Service field.

• OHS is a perfect opportunity to get involved on campus and in our community, feel great about yourself and meet other students who share the same interests and values.
   
• OHS is a young organization working hard to become more prominent within the Villanova Community-and we are getting there fast. You can be a part of our adventure!

OHS strives to help members establish a well balanced sense of career opportunities and different aspects of the Human Service field.  Someone who is interested in working within the field of Human Services has plenty of wonderful options and opportunities to do so.

• As a member of OHS, you will hear various speakers discussing topics such as: 
  • Drug and alcohol abuse and rehabilitation
  • Human Resources
  • Social Work
  • School Counseling
  • Mental health
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Children and Youth Services
     
• You will also become certified in CPR, partake in fun volunteer work and fundraisers, and experience other interesting enriching activities. 
   
• If you are a Human Service major or thinking about becoming one, joining OHS would be extremely beneficial by:
  • Learning about your future career options
  • Partaking in many of our activities which will actually be part of the Human Service Course content
  • Having the chance to form friendships with the students in your major

Welcome! The members of OHS are wonderful students who adore working with other people. OHS welcomes all Villanova students who share the same interests. 

• As a member of OHS, you can and will find yourself absorbed in the fun and exciting journey of learning more about who you are and what you want to do in the future.
   
• In joining, you will have the obligation to attend meeting twice every month, listen to the speakers, and participate in the events and volunteer opportunities. All of these things are beneficial to your success as a future professional within the Human Services, Psychology and Sociology fields.
