The Villanova Graduate English Program welcomes applications from
international students.
Villanova is located in a suburb 20 km west of Philadelphia. Philadelphia is
a city of 1.5 million people located on the Eastern Seaboard of the United
States, approximately 230 km north of Washington, D.C. and 160 km south of New
York City. It enjoys a moderate climate with an average summer temperature of
26° Celsius and average winter temperatures of 4° Celsius.
Founded in 1842 by the friars of the Order of St. Augustine, Villanova is a
comprehensive Roman Catholic institution that welcomes students of all faiths.
Roughly 10,000 students attend the university, including 6,000 undergraduates

International students must submit a financial certification worksheet as
part of their application, demonstrating their ability to meet their financial
obligation while at the university. If admitted to the program, they must also
