An interdisciplinary program
Protecting environmental quality and achieving sustainable development continue to be priorities at the local, national, and international levels. Pollution control, preservation of air and water quality, maintenance of biodiversity, investigation of the links between human and environmental health, assessment and analysis of the biogeochemical and political aspects of global warming, and evaluation and management of environmental resources and services are only some examples of the important work of environmental professionals.
Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field, the
Environmental Studies Concentration is open to all students enrolled in the University.
Students from such diverse areas as
Geography,
Biology,
Political Science,
Psychology,
English, and
Engineering have enrolled in the
Concentration.
We invite you to join us in this exciting new Concentration at Villanova!!
