Throughout the academic year, a variety of meetings will be scheduled for students interested in the health professions.  All Villanova students are invited to attend these sessions to learn more about the various health professions and about admission to the health professions programs.  Speakers will include admissions representatives as well as Villanova graduates who are in local health professions programs.  Come to learn how to be the best candidate you can be.  This list will change often; check frequently to stay informed of the speakers and their topics.

Maria Grabowski, an admissions officer from Salus University (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry), will meet with students to discuss admission procedures, prerequisites, requirements and curriculum for all of their programs.

Jenna Strzelecki, Admissions Coordinator at TCMC, will meet with students to discuss the admission process and inform you about one the Nations newest medical schools. They have built a unique new medical school and are now looking for unique, passionate students. It is their goal to supply as much scholarship support to future TCMC students.

Do you need help financing your education in a health profession?

The US Army Medical Dept is hosting a dinner for students pursuing careers as physicians, dentists, optometrists, psychologists and veterinarians. 2LT Andrew Slye (VU '08) will talk to students about getting into health professions school and day to day life as a medical student. This event is being held to raise awareness of the Army Medical Dept. as a financial and educational resource for students, as well as a potential employer. The Army offers a variety of unique scholarship, stipend, and residency options to medical students, residents, and attending physicians, as well as other health care and scientific professionals. Finally, the Army is also offering chances to tour Walter Reed Army Medical Center (their teaching hospital in Washington DC) and scrub into surgery for interested applicants.
