All students in each incoming class of Honors students will be enrolled in a 1 credit course (graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) for each of their first two semesters (Gateway Portfolio I & II):

  • HON 1996 - Gateway Portfolio I

    Description: Autobiographical essay; resume; ACS seminar portfolio documents, and selected work from other core classes -- with integrating narratives; reflective narratives of cultural events attended, campus activities, and civic engagement undertaken; sustained e-portfolio dialogue with peers.

  • HON 1997 - Gateway Portfolio II

    Description: ACS seminar portfolio documents; selected work from other core classes; cultural events; campus activities; civic engagtement; expansion of integrating and reflective narratives; sustained e-portfolio dialogue with peers.

All students intending to pursue the Honors Concentration, or any of the three Honors Degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Honors; Bachelor of Science, Honors; or Bachelor of Science Business Honors) must also complete HON 1998 and HON 1999 (Gateway Portfolio III & IV):

  • HON 1998 - Gateway Portfolio III

    Description: Revision of autobiographical essay and resume; review and further development of integrating and reflective narratives as more fully informed by the study of additional academic disciplines, cultural events, campus activities, and civic engagement; sustained e-portfolio dialogue with peers.

  • HON 1999 - Gateway Portfolio IV
