Graduate Fellowships

About the James V. Tabb Rohm and Haas Graduate Fellowship.

The James V. Tabb Rohm and Haas Graduate Fellowship was established through a generous donation made by the Rohm and Haas Company in 1995 as a tribute to the late James V. Tabb. Mr. Tabb had been Vice President of Human Resources for the Rohm and Haas Company prior to his death. He had been very supportive of the Master's program in HRD at Villanova, having placed many interns starting in the early 1980s and having hired many of them as full-time employees. One year before Mr. Tabb's death, he had been honored by Villanova's HR Alumni Society with the "Human Resource Professional of the Year Award."

The Fellowship is typically held for either one semester or one calendar year and provides:

  • remission of tuition
  • a stipend

It is typically awarded to the full-time student with the strongest academic credentials who applies for the fellowship. Holders of the Fellowship have presented undergraduate grade point averages above 3.5 and additional strong supporting credentials.
