Overview
The Pre-Master’s
Certificate provides an opportunity for Baccalaureate Degree
recipients to continue their education and keep up-to-date on
current HR issues. It affords students an opportunity to explore
their interest in seeking a Master’s Degree in HR. Additionally,
for those HR professionals needing course work for certification
(PHR, SPHR), this program will be very helpful.
Admission Requirements
The general admission requirements for
graduate school with the exception of the GRE scores. Note:
There is no GRE requirement for the
Pre-Master’s Certificate Program.
Program Requirements
To meet the requirements for the certificate, students must
successfully complete:
Two of the
four three-credit courses are required. The pattern of course
work will vary according to the professional objectives of the
student. Each student’s program will total 15 semester hours.
Students should plan their program of studies with the advisor
before registering for any course work, and should meet the
advisor each semester for advice and guidance. To meet the
requirements for the certification, students must also complete
a comprehensive examination over the courses they have taken or
successfully complete the PHR examination offered by the SHRM.
