Requirements:

For the Concentration:

  • Two Spanish language courses beyond the intermediate level;
  • six courses (18 credits) distributed as follows: LAS 3950 and five other courses from either the Program Core or Electives.

For the Minor:

  • Two Spanish language courses at the intermediate level or above;
  • five courses (15 credits) distributed as follows: LAS 3950 and four other courses from either the Program Core or Electives.

Availability of Courses in Costa Rica

The following semester long courses are taught in Costa Rica in English under a Semester Abroad program with our partner institution, International Center for Sustainable Human Development (CIDH), in San Jose, Costa Rica, known as El Centro Internacional para el Desarrollo Humano.
