The Department of Physics offers a program which combines a flexible curriculum in all areas of theoretical and experimental physics with a strong liberal arts component. Course work for a physics degree includes the study of thermodynamics, electromagnetism, electronics, classical and quantum mechanics, nuclear physics, computational physics, and mathematical physics.
The department also offers advanced courses in both the fascinating world of theoretical physics and the intricacies of the experimental realm. In addition, physics majors take two semesters of chemistry and four courses in the math department from calculus to differential equations.
