How do I register on-line via NOVASIS?
- First, log-in to the Villanova Homepage. Use your email ID and permanent
Villanova password.
If you do not know your password, call 610-519-7777 and ask
for a new password. You will get a recording offering options, choose to
speak to a person. The Graduate Director, MPA Director, or Program Coordinator cannot get you a password. The ID and Password are permanent so keep them handy.
- To register, check your financial aid, your grades, etc.,
- log into
the Villanova homepage
- log-in into the secure area of NOVASIS
by using your 8 digit permanent Villanova ID number (which is located under the
date in the program acceptance letter you received from Graduate Studies) AND use your permanent
NOVASIS pin.
- If you do not remember your
permanent NOVASIS pin, then follow instructions near the top of the page you are
viewing in NOVASIS to get one.
- Once you have entered the secure area of NOVASIS, use your Registration
Pin to access the Registration Form for the desired semester.
- The Registration Pin is given out by the Graduate Director, MPA Director or Program Coordinator
once you have made your course selection and notified the Graduate Director, MPA
Director or Program Coordinator by email or phone.
- We recommend you
consult with the Graduate Director or MPA Director about courses you plan to take before asking
the Program Coordinator for your Registration Pin number.
You can register for
courses and then do drop-add as well through the first week of classes, so keep

What occurs at the Graduate Reception following commencement ceremonies?
For the MA Program: The Dean of Graduate Studies will personally hand you your diploma at the
Graduate Studies Reception following the Commencement Ceremony. No speeches,
just a simple handshake and congratulations. If you would like to meet PSC
faculty, we encourage you to visit the Political Science Reception. PSC faculty
members enjoy talking with you and your family during the reception.

May I have permission to enroll in a course closed because of
full-enrollment? For the MA Program: Once a course enrollment is closed, the Department Chair will only allow another

How do I apply for graduation?
- In your last semester complete the
Application for Granting of Masters Degree.
- Consult the academic calendar for the semester to insure you meet the deadline.
- When completing the form, the MA in PSC is an ARTS degree, send the
original to the Graduate Studies Office and a copy to the Department of
Political Science.

Science M.A. students? For Fall 2006 the average GPA for accepted applicants is 3.46 and the average
