The Department of Psychology has nearly 200 majors in our undergraduate program and approximately 35 full-time
graduate students in our
master’s (M.S.) program. Both programs provide students with a solid foundation for pursuing further study or employment in basic psychological science or in applied areas such as clinical or counseling psychology. The undergraduate program is also attractive to students who want a clearer understanding of human behavior as part of a liberal arts and sciences education.
The 15 full-time faculty members of our department include experimental, clinical, developmental, and individual-differences psychologists. Our
faculty have active research
programs in many areas of psychological science including attention and
performance, behavioral and computational neuroscience, child development,
cognitive aging, cognitive neuroscience, human factors, learning, memory,
personality, social psychology, visual perception, and both human and
comparative cognition.
Most of the faculty research takes part in 10 active research laboratories within the
department.
