The Psychology Department gives three awards each year for outstanding
achievement.
- The Bernard L. Bonniwell Medallion of Academic Excellence
Recognizes outstanding academic performance by a graduating psychology major.
Usually given to the graduating senior with the highest GPA.
Michael G. Hughes — 2007
- The Ingeborg and Byron Ward Outstanding Thesis Award
Recognizes an outstanding thesis project by a graduating M.S. student.
Edward F. Ester — 2006 Thesis title: Spatial Capture Following Attentional Engagement:
Particular to Certain Classes of Stimuli?
- The Daniel J. Ziegler Distinguished Alumnus Award
Recognizes distinguished contributions to psychology, other fields, or
society by an alumnus or alumna of the undergraduate or graduate programs in
psychology.
Daniel J. Ziegler (B.S., 1960) — 2007 First recipient of this award.
