Le Dindon (An Absolute Turkey)

Preliminary Auditions: Sunday, August 24th, 7-10:30pm
Callbacks:  Monday, August 25th, 8-11pm

Please choose a role and a partner and prepare a 3-4 minute scene from the play. If you can get a hold of the Nicki Frei/Peter Hall translation (which we're using), so much the better, but any translation is fine. If you choose to attempt memorization (which is optional), I'll want you to hold the script in the audition in order to have that backup at your fingertips.

I am interested in GROUNDED, TRUTHFUL CHARACTERS AND COMMITMENT TO GIVEN CIRCUMSTANCES AND INTENTIONS- please don't try to "be funny." As we all know, farce's humor derives from its inhabitants pursuing their agendas with absolute, perhaps obsessive, seriousness and focus. If you are a new student, it can feel intimidating to locate a partner. Please don't let this keep you from auditioning! We can help pair actors-please try your best to locate and read the script and email me with your choice of character (and scene, if do-able);
I'll get back to you with a partner and whatever other support you might need. If all else fails, come to auditions and we'll have sides and partners for you.
