We offer a Five-Year Bachelor/Master's degree program which is open to especially qualified undergraduate students. This program permits the completion of the required courses for the Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies and for the Master of Arts in Theology in an accelerated timeframe of ten regular semesters plus a summer of coursework.

This timeframe requires using 3 graduate courses in Theology in place of undergraduate courses to satisfy the requirements for elective courses in Theology and Religious Studies.

Program Requirements

Obtaining Both Degrees

You receive the Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies after completing the bachelor's requirements(normally four years).

You will then be transferred to graduate status to complete the master's requirements, upon which you will receive the Master of Arts in Theology.

To fulfill the requirements for the Five-Year Program, you need to:

  • maintain undergraduate Core Curriculum requirements;
  • will be permitted to take graduate courses in Theology in their senior years with the approval of the Graduate Program Director;
  • earn a grade of at least "B" in each of these graduate courses;
  • take at least 49 courses overall of which at least 20 must be in Theology (8 courses in undergraduate Theology and Religious Studies and 12 courses in graduate Theology);
  • fulfill the Foreign Language requirement and Comprehensive Examination for the MA Program.
