For
admission to the Five-Year B.A./M.A.
program, you should have:
- junior status;
- a cumulative GPA of
at least 3.3 and a GPA in the major of at least 3.3;
- the completion (or nearly completion) of courses that will satisfy the 21 required distributional credits (7 courses) for the undergraduate Theology and Religious Studies Major;
- the completion (or nearly completion) of one undergraduate theology elective course;
- the completion of either 86 undergraduate credits or 80 undergraduate credits with the understanding that the remaining 6 undergraduate credits will be taken in the summer after Junior year.
How to Apply
To apply for the five-year BA/MA program in Theology, follow these steps:
- Review the admission requirements above. You may request additional information by calling the
Office of Graduate Studies or the
Department of Theology and Religious Studies.
- Submit a signed two-page letter of application for the Five-Year BA/MA Program to the Graduate Committee of the Theology Program describing the student's reasons for seeking admission into the program.
- Submit two letters of recommendation written by Villanova University Department of Theology and Religious Studies faculty assessing the student's potential for success in the Five-Year BA/MA Program. Submit these letters to the Graduate Committee of the Theology and Religious Studies department. Letters of Recommendation forms may be obtained from the Departmental Secretary.
- Submit a copy of your Villanova University transcript.
