Welcome to the Graduate Studies Division of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova University.
As an academic faculty within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of
Villanova University, a University with a Roman Catholic and
Augustinian
heritage, we emphasize a broad understanding of the Christian theological
tradition in light of the Second Vatican Council and questions raised by modern
culture. Our programs welcome men and women, ordained and lay, from near and far, from
all Christian traditions, of all ages, and with diverse educational and
professional backgrounds and equally diverse professional goals.
Have you recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in a theological or non-theological field of study?
Do you value the academic study of theology?
Do you seek to enrich your
personal and intellectual life in the midst of likeminded women and men?
Are you a professional interested in a career change?
Do you wish to earn a terminal master’s degree or pursue further
academic work?
Do you seek a career in secondary school education or ministerial
leadership?
Whatever your goals might be, we look forward to working with you to make
your time with us a positive experience and your studies a success.
