Getting Involved

Student Life

Student Life provides programs, activities, and services that advance the development of students on all levels—intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, culturally, socially, and physically—within a learning community committed to Catholic values and the spirit of St. Augustine.

Graduate Student Council (GSC)

The GSC is an interdisciplinary organization of graduate students in the Liberal Arts and Sciences with a common interest to improve and enhance the quality of the graduate students' experience at Villanova. It creates opportunities for students to participate in social, academic, and community activities.

Graduate Theology Steering Committee (GTSC)

The GTSC is an initiative of our theology graduate students with a common interest to create a community "outside of the classroom" and organize academic, social, service, and worship opportunities.

Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry provides a wide range of opportunities for involvement in, for example, liturgies, service, or retreats.

Health Center

The Student Health Center provides immunizations, immunotherapy injections, insurance and travel information, women’s health services, and other services.

Research

Writing Center

The Villanova Writing Center provides one-to-one session with a qualified tutor for graduate students who wish to improve their writing. Please read also our departmental Graduate Level Writing Guidelines.

Academic Counseling

Villanova provides academic ("study skills") counseling services (workshops on, e.g., self-management, self-motivation, time management, effective study methods) to all graduate students designed to help students achieve academic success.

Career Resources

Villanova University's Career Services Office supports the career development of our students and alumni by offering, among others,

  • Career Fairs
  • Tips and Guidelines (e.g., resume writing; networking; interviewing)
  • Workshops (e.g., on resume writing; applying to graduate school; internships; interviewing; practice GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, and DAT tests)
  • Credential Services (credentials are reference letters and other materials that support applications for employment or graduate study; establishing a credential file enables you to compile all of your resources in Career Services. Once this  file is created your credentials can be presented in a concise, professional format)
