- seek to enrich their intellectual and spiritual lives, their thoughts, and their ethical choices as they prepare themselves for professional careers. The academic study of theology and religion provides these students with the opportunity to formulate responses to our world's most demanding questions;
- plan to pursue careers in humanitarian, philanthropic or other non-profit, charitable organizations;
- go on to work in religious organizations as campus, youth or parish ministers, educators, catechists, retreat workers, administrators, counselors, spiritual directors or to work in one of the many other positions such organizations offer;
- choose to study Theology and Religion as a second
major or
minor that enhances the study of other fields in science, engineering, business, and the humanities. They plan to enter professions such as law, medicine, business, human services, education, journalism and social work, or pursue advanced studies in these and related fields, where broad, interdisciplinary, and ethical perspectives matter; and
- take advantage of Villanova's Five-Year Bachelor/Master's Degree in Theology and pursue advanced studies in theology, religion, and in the above mentioned fields. They earn both admission to and financial aid from distinguished master's programs.
