The Villanova Center for Liberal Education will host the 2007 Carlyle Studies Conference on the subject of "Thomas Carlyle Resartus: Reappraising Carlyle for Our Times.” Paper proposals are welcome on any aspect of Carlyle studies; we are especially interested in papers that address the following: Carlyle and history; interdisciplinary in Carlyle studies; and teaching Carlyle in the college classroom. The conference will also feature a roundtable discussion on approaches to teaching Carlyle; please indicate on your proposal if you are interested in participating.
