Employers interviewing you for a writing job may want to see a notebook which
contains hard copies of all your published work--that's called a "clipbook."
Such work can include articles published in the Villanovan or any other hard
copy publication. You can also include printouts of articles published online.
Here are four easy steps to creating a clipbook:
- Buy a nice, three-ring notebook and 8"X11" plastic sheets to hold
articles.
- Obtain clippings of your articles or print out online articles. Put
these in the plastic sheets in your notebook.
- Create a Title page (your name, address, etc.) Also put this in the
plastic sheeting.
- Create a Table of Contents page which contains a list of article titles
and the dates they were written—also put this in
a plastic sheet
That's it. Hope your clipbook is a thick one!
