Your understanding of
business is our business.
This is the place.
Villanova University—with its strong liberal
arts foundation, Augustinian values, and one of
the best business schools in the nation—is the
ideal place for you to learn the fundamentals of
business.
Invest in your
future.
Whether you choose to work in
engineering, law, medicine, technology, the
arts, education, or the nonprofit sector, a firm
grounding in business will benefit you
throughout your career—and your life.
A program designed for you.
The Summer Business Institute (SBI) at the
Villanova School of Business is designed for
undergraduate students and recent graduates with
non-business majors. The program is in session
for nine weeks during the summer, with on-campus
housing available, so that it fits conveniently
with your academic year.
Are you up for the
challenge?
SBI is a unique, rigorous program. You will
learn about the basics of business through a
broad range of integrated courses and cross-disciplinary
topics—like Business Dynamics, Competitive
Effectiveness, and Financial Management and
Reporting—that will help prepare you to succeed
after graduation. Through a curriculum that
emphasizes innovation, creativity, and hands-on
learning—including corporate site visits—you
will gain a solid understanding of the big
picture of business.
Learn from
dedicated faculty who care about your success.
All SBI courses are taught by Villanova School
of Business faculty members—not by teaching
assistants. These professors bring a wide range
of expertise to the SBI classroom as teachers,
researchers, and corporate consultants. They
understand the practice of business, and how to
teach you what you need to know. Their courses
are intense and demanding—because they want to
see you succeed.
Expand your
horizons—and your credentials.
Villanova students who successfully complete SBI
earn a business minor. Students from other
universities earn an SBI Certificate. In both
cases, your SBI experience will broaden your
skill set, strengthen your academic foundation,
build your professional confidence, improve your
problem solving and decision making skills, and
serve as an impressive credential on your resumé. |
