Advancing innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship
in the Villanova community and around the globe...
About The Villanova ICE Center:
The Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE Center) is intended to be a
center of excellence and crucial driver of scholastic, educational and professional
development opportunities in the areas of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship within
VSB. ICE Center initiatives are also intended to increase both the reputation and prominence
of VSB for research, curriculum, and practice in the areas of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The ICE Center is comprised of three complimentary efforts:
ICE Center Curricular Division
The Curricular Division of the ICE Center provides support for relevant programs and courses taught in
VSB, new course and program development within Villanova - both within and outside of VSB, and development
and administration of educational programs to the community outside of Villanova. Examples of Curricular
Division initiatives include the Entrepreneurship Minor, the Startup Challenge Business Plan Competition,
and the Villanova Entrepreneurial Society.
ICE Center Research Division
The Research Division of the ICE Center provides financial and professional support services to VSB faculty
conducting and publishing research that is relevant to the mission of the SIG, increasing opportunities for
faculty to become involved with and publish academic and practitioner research, and raising the profile of
VSB through affiliations with prominent faculty at leading research-intensive institutions. Examples of
proposed Research Division initiatives include Research Developmental Workshops, a Faculty Research Brown
Bag Series, and the Research Funding Options Program.
ICE Center Practice Division
The Practice Division of the ICE Center develops and maintains programs and initiatives that seek to
provide an interface between the business community and the research and curricular capabilities and
activities of the ICE Center. Examples of Practice Division initiatives may include topical practitioner
conferences, development of a SIG board of advisors, and ICE Center-specific executive business education.
