The Villanova Real Estate Challenge
The Villanova Real Estate Challenge is a national real estate development
case competition for students from the top undergraduate real estate programs in
the United States. The Challenge—hosted by the Daniel M. DiLella Center for
Real Estate at the Villanova School of Business—gathered the
next generation of real estate leaders together with judges and sponsors
representing leading real estate firms.
Competition Overview
Each participating team was comprised of four students and accompanied by a
faculty advisor. Finalist teams were selected from groups of first round
presentations to advance to the final round presentations. Student presentations
were judged by senior executives representing top firms from all areas of the
commercial real estate industry. Over $10,000 in cash prizes were awarded.
Challenge Program
Teams arrived at Villanova on Thursday, April 7th and submitted their
presentation materials upon arrival. A networking reception was held on Thursday
evening, and included all student participants, faculty advisors,
industry judges, sponsors, and members of the DiLella Center for Real Estate
advisory council.
First round case presentations were held on Friday morning (April 8th), and the
finalist teams were announced at lunch. The finalist
teams presented to all of the judges and attendees in the afternoon, and then an
awards ceremony and Challenge reception was held in the evening.
