Accountancy & Information Systems
faculty pursue research in areas including earnings
management practices and reporting, auditing, accounting
systems, business process analytics, enterprise systems
integration, service-oriented architecture, and the legal
and ethical aspects of information technology.
Another valuable resource available to
Accountancy & Information Systems is the VSB Accounting
Advisory. This council is comprised of
executives and industry leaders from a diverse group of
accounting and technology firms. Council members provide
guidance, curricular insights, assistance with the
development and execution of faculty research, and job and
internship opportunities for VSB students. Maintaining these
relationships is integral to the Accountancy & Information
Systems mission, helping to ensure that research and
teaching efforts are agile, are relevant to the practice of
business, and prepare VSB students for career success.
VSB faculty members publish in journals including The
Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research,
Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory,
Accounting Horizons, Journal of The American Taxation
Association, and Behavioral Research in Accounting.
