VSB Finance faculty publish in journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, Financial Analysts Journal, as well as other leading journals.

Wall Street Resources

The heart of VSB finance education is the dynamic Applied Finance Lab. Excellent data resources are provided, including CRSP/Compustat Merged, DRI/Global Insight, RiskMetrics, NYSE TAQ, SDC Platinum, OptionMetrics, Thomson 13F, Factset, Global Financial Data, Morningstar Direct, Argus, SNL Financial, IW Financial and other data resources. Most data are available via the WRDS portal. Additionally, our Applied Finance Lab houses 16 Bloomberg terminals. These resources are available to support faculty scholarship, teaching, and five student managed funds.

World-Class Degree Programs

Finance at VSB oversees two degree programs: a BBA with a major or minor concentration in finance, and a Master of Science in Finance. It is also home to the Applied Finance Lab, one of the first and best of its kind in the nation.

Research Centers

Finance at VSB works to advance industry knowledge and support student learning through the Applied Finance Lab, Student-Managed Investment Funds, the student-run Villanova Equity Society, the VSB Finance Seminar Series, and the Mid-Atlantic Research Conference in Finance.

Finance at VSB also works in partnership with the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate—VSB's newest center of excellence. The center is dedicated to supporting scholarly research, curricular innovation, and student employment and professional development opportunities in the real estate field.
