Since 2001, the department has radically revamped its research program in order to become consistently well-represented
in the top management & operations journals. This has been successfully achieved through the recruitment of several
research-intensive faculty whose work is being promoted by the establishment of new research grants, the availability
of funded training on cutting-edge statistical research techniques, as well as other support mechanisms.
In just a short period of time, Management & Operations at VSB has made remarkable progress in its research endeavors
and the team continues to raise its ambitious expectations. Targeted subjects of study include general and strategic
management, leadership and teams, entrepreneurship and innovation, international business, corporate social responsibility
and business ethics, human resource management (especially in the area of inclusion), operations and supply chain management,
and business analytics.
