The Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program at the Villanova School of
Business provides you with an advanced finance education, incorporating
experiential and applied components to increase your value in the job market.
Through this program, you can earn a master’s degree in a single full-time year
of study beyond your Baccalaureate degree.
MSF Program Highlights:
- Innovative Schedule - This unique
lock-step cohort program allows you to complete the MSF in one year. Over
the course of 12 months, you will acquire 33 credits while attending classes
with the same group of highly-motivated students.
- Rigorous Curriculum - The MSF
curriculum provides students with a depth and degree of finance far greater
than that provided in traditional MBA programs. Courses cover a wide variety
of topics, including financial decision making under uncertainty, applied
corporate financial analysis, and management of real-world investment funds.
- Outstanding Faculty - The program’s
faculty members are a dedicated group of teachers, researchers, and
consultants with a wide range of areas of expertise. They understand the
demands of the marketplace, and how to prepare you to meet them.
- Top-Notch Students - The program is
developed for students who excel within the highly quantitative learning
environment that this program provides. Class sizes are small so that you
can build strong relationships with your peers and faculty members.
- Professional Development Program -
This newly-established MSF program provides a strong emphasis on interview
techniques and networking opportunities. The purpose of the program is to
support your commitment to your career objectives within the
highly-competitive finance industry.
- Student-Focused Facilities -
Villanova University’s picturesque 260-acre campus is located on the famed
Main Line, just 12 miles west of Philadelphia. Our beautiful suburban campus
is easily accessible by car and just a short ride on the R5 train from
Philadelphia. Classes take place in Bartley Hall, an exceptional business
learning and technology center that recently underwent a $26 million
renovation. All MSF students access VSB’s nationally-recognized Applied
Finance Lab. The lab is a simulated trading floor that brings academic
theories to life through a combination of real-time and simulated exercises.
