About the Program
The MSF Fellows program is a graduate assistantship position that allows
students to pursue their MSF degree with reduced tuition charges, while
obtaining paid research experience and exposure to faculty members.
MSF Fellows are MSF students selected to assist business school faculty with
their research activities. The fellow works under the supervision of the faculty
member to whom he or she is assigned. The program requires 10 hours of work per
week during both the fall and spring semesters. Based on availability and
faculty requests, MSF Fellows may be able to start their program during the
summer semester.
Benefits of the Program
The MSF Fellows program is a competitive program designed to give our students a realistic view of academic research, as well as provide additional opportunities to grow your professional network. Many of our past fellows candidates have gone one to Ph.D. programs after their exposure and experiences at Villanova.
A stipend of approximately $6,550 is provided to fellows for the academic year, during the fall and spring semesters. This stipend begins with the fall semester and is payable in monthly installments. In addition, a waiver of half of the MSF tuition and fees during each semester of employment is provided.
The total award for the 2011 academic year is a roughly $18,000 package.
Outside Employment
MSF Fellows are prohibited from engaging in additional
employment, either on-campus or elsewhere.
