Who should apply to the PMBA program?

The PMBA is designed for working professionals who want a convenient, flexible MBA program:

  • Average age of PMBA students: 28 years
  • Average GPA: 3.4
  • Average GMAT: 590
  • Average years work experience: 5 years

What will you study?

The PMBA curriculum was recently revamped to emphasize technology integration, cross-functional problem solving, teamwork, and strategic decision making. The curriculum offers flexibility in course selection.

Specializations are available in Finance, Health Care Management, International Business, Management Information Systems, and Marketing, or students may follow the Corporate Management track and receive a general MBA.

When do classes meet?

The PMBA is a part-time evening program. Classes meet once a week, Monday to Thursday, usually from 6 to 8:45 pm (fall and spring). Summer classes meet from 6 to 9 pm. There are occasional Saturday classes that meet from 9 am to 12:45 pm (over 11 weeks). Fall and spring semesters meet for 15 weeks each and the summer session meets for 9 weeks. In addition, several basic core and elective courses are offered in a partial distance learning format—half in the classroom and half online.

Where are classes held?

Villanova University’s picturesque 260-acre campus is located on the famed Main Line, just 12 miles west of Philadelphia. Our beautiful suburban campus is easily accessible by car and just a short ride on the R5 train from Philadelphia. Classes take place in Bartley Hall, an exceptional business learning and technology center that recently underwent a $26 million renovation.

How much does the Professional MBA cost?

Tuition in the Professional MBA program for the 2008-09 academic year is $750 per credit or $2,250 per course. There is a $30 general fee assessed by the university each term. Information regarding financial assistance available to graduate students may be obtained from the Villanova University Office of Financial Assistance. In addition, the PMBA program offers a number of positions for MBA Fellow research assistants to support the research activities of faculty members.
