The Villanova MBA experience begins with an intensive orientation and introduction to the behavioral skills needed to excel in your MBA and business career.
The Leadership Challenge, required of all incoming students, focuses on
communication, team building, and adaptive problem solving. It is structured to create a sense of community through a cohesive team atmosphere. The
challenge sets expectations for future class involvement, and occurs during one
weekend of your first and second semester.
Offered in an innovative format over the course of two weekends (one before the start of your first semester, and one during your second semester in the program), the
Leadership Challenge begins on Saturday morning and
continues through Sunday afternoon for two weekends of intense interaction among
students, faculty, and staff.
Tuition for Leadership Challenge I and II (2 credits) covers instructional expenses and all
challenge activities.
If you are beginning your MBA study in fall 2009, you may choose one of the two sessions for the Leadership Challenge I weekend:
- August 15 & 16 (takes place in Center City Philadelphia)
- August 22 & 23 (takes place at the Villanova Conference
Center)
You should then plan to register for Leadership Challenge II in spring 2010.
Please note: neither Leadership Challenge I or II are offered in the summer session. Students beginning the MBA
program in the summer session should enroll in the Leadership Challenge I in the following fall semester. Students beginning in the spring semester should take Leadership Challenge II in the following fall semester.
