Specializations

In addition to the basic and advanced core courses, MBA candidates must complete 4 elective courses (12 credits). You may develop expertise in an area by selecting a specialization in Finance, Health Care Management, International Business, E-Business, Management Information Systems, or Marketing. If you do not choose to specialize, you may tailor your MBA by selecting the Corporate Management track.  This track allows you to choose the electives most appropriate for your career goals.

All MBA candidates, except those selecting the Health Care Management specialization, must take an international elective.

Finance Track

  • Three finance electives
  • One international business elective

Health Care Management Track

  • MBA 8643 Management and Marketing of Services
  • MBA 8820 Selected Topics in Health Care Administration
  • MBA 8559 Health Care Information Systems
  • NUR 8961 Health Policy and Politics
  • NUR 8948 Field Placement in Health Care Administration

International Business Track

  • Four international business electives

Management Information Systems Track

  • Three MIS electives
  • One international business elective

Marketing Track

  • Three marketing electives
  • One international business elective

Corporate Management Track

  • Twelve credits from any area, including one international course
