VILLANOVA, PA, January 26, 2009—The Villanova School of Business is pleased to announce that Dr. John A. Pearce, Professor of Management and Operations, has been named as the 2009 Fulbright Business Specialist for Canada. Following a one-year vetting term that included a five-stage approval process, the US State Department, the American Embassy in Canada, and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars jointly announced Dr. Pearce in recognition of his academic excellence and leadership.
With this esteemed honor, Dr. Pearce has accepted the invitation from Simon Fraser University’s Segal Graduate School of Business to contribute to projects involving the institution’s PhD programs in business, Executive MBA program, and executive training and development activities. The program is designed to increase the participation of leading US scholars in Fulbright academic exchanges and to promote increased connections between US and non-US post-secondary academic institutions. These efforts are achieved through short-term academic opportunities for US faculty and professionals.
