The Villanova School of Business sponsors a Forum on
the Credit Crisis
VILLANOVA, PA, 1 October 2008—On Thursday, October 2nd, The Villanova School
of Business sponsors a Forum on the Credit Crisis. A panel of distinguished VSB
faculty and industry alumni will share their expertise to provide a detailed
interpretation of current economic conditions. The goal of the event is to help
Villanova students, faculty, and staff, as well as the surrounding community, to
better understand the historical context and impact of what is occuring in the
financial services industry.
Expert panelists span a range of disciplines that are affected by the crisis
including real estate, finance, economics, and corporate social responsibility.
Henry Klehm III VSB ’80 and Partner at Jones Day along with Gary Shugrue VSB ’76
and Chief Investment Officer of ACP, will join the discussion to share their
perspectives as insiders in the financial industry.
Following the panel, attendees will be invited to pose questions to the experts
and industry representatives. “We encourage students, faculty, staff, parents,
and the surrounding community to engage themselves in this interactive
discussion about the historical implications this crisis has for all of us and
the global economy,” says James Danko, The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of the
business school. “VSB expects this to be a particularly informative and timely
event.”
