"Villanova Helping Villanovans"

On June 23, 2009, Villanovans gathered for the Bank of America Merrill Lynch reception at the Bank of America Tower in New York. The event was hosted by Bill Donnell a '77 VSB Alumnus. The reception was a networking event for faculty, current students and Bank of America Merrill Lynch alumni. Almost 200 people attended the event, including Father Peter and Jay Wright who were the featured speakers.

Prior to the reception, VSB rising juniors attended, "Rising Juniors: An Introduction to Wall Street, a two hour workshop designed to prepare students for pursuing a career in financial services. The workshop was run by Bill Donnell, Ann White, Katie Pizzi, Chris Castano and six additional Villanova/Bank of America/Merrill Lynch alums. The program topics included Career Building: 10 Steps to Getting an Internship/Job, an introduction to the Bank of America Merrill Lynch framework, networking tips, professional etiquette in the recruiting process and conclude with a panel presentation by VU alumni on functional areas within an investment bank.
